Tenancy
Tenancy: your municipality’s conciliation board
In Thurgau, tenancy conciliation boards (Schlichtungsbehörde in Mietsachen) are set up by the municipalities. A dispute over rent, defects, a deposit or a notice to quit therefore begins before the board responsible for the place where the flat is. It seeks a settlement between tenant and landlord. If that fails, the case can go to the district court.
